Reflecting on my hands-on experience designing a Cell-Based Architecture for a Korean ticketing platform facing extreme flash-sale traffic.

While Microservices were already in place, traditional scaling fell short of the business demands.

My goal wasn’t just to scale capacity—it was to contain the blast radius. Shifted from System-Wide Risk to Unit-Level Isolation: ensuring any fault, bad deployment, or overload is strictly confined to a single concert without taking down the rest of the platform.
